PRESENT POSITION
Independent Real Property Appraiser, Author and Instructor. Serves as an advisory consultant on real property appraisal both to independent practicing appraisers, attorneys and school providers of appraisal education. Over the past six years served as a compliance manager for two separate AMCs and wrote articles for “The Appraiser’s Business Companion”, a software tool designed to help appraisers prepare compliant appraisal reports and documentation for their workfile. She is part of the Accurity Analytic team that provides consulting analysis on real property litigation and is currently a consultant for Accurity Qualified Analytics.
APPRAISAL EXPERIENCE
Thirty plus Years’ Experience in appraisal and review appraisal of Single Family and Multi-Family Residential, Vacant Land and Sites, and Commercial Property, eighteen years’ experience in aiding Principals in their purchasing decisions, and aiding Agents and Brokers in marketing properties. In 2011- June 20-13 worked with a firm known as “ABC Appraisal Management” as their appraisal compliance manager. After they sold, she was hired by another AMC for whom she worked through August 31, 2018 working in the same capacity, i.e. administrative compliance audits of appraisal reports prepared for lender clients. She has also worked as a consulting appraiser for attorneys whose pending litigation needs support of the appraisal reports considered an integral part of their court cases. For three years Ms. Jacob served the Texas Appraisal Licensing Certification Board (TALCB) as a Mentor. In her mentor capacity the disciplined appraisers, having gone through the investigative process due to a complaint, are given a specific number of hours required to spend with an (one of five) approved mentor in the state of Texas. Her job as a mentor was to review the complaint findings and the appraisal report and workfile, instructor those respondent appraisers to enhance their skills and correct their deficiencies.
